R. López de Heredia Viña Tondonia is one of the oldest and most respected bodegas in La Rioja, as well as the leading exponent of traditional winemaking in Spain. Viña Bosconia vineyard owes its name to the profile its founder wanted to give this wine, inspired by the classic red wines of the French region of Burgundy (hence the traditional Burgundy-style shape of its bottle). From the El Bosque estate, on the banks of the Ebro River, it is characterized by clay-limestone soils and a particular microclimate that imparts the grapes with a structured, deep character and immense elegance, with an exceptional aging capacity. The 2006 vintage offers the roundness and ripeness ideal of a great Rioja classic ready to enjoy or to keep. Crianza: 5 years in American oak barrels, subjected to 2 annual rackings carried out by hand, followed by a prolonged rest in bottle. Always in a private cellar with controlled temperature.
