A Disneyland "Frontiertown" Original Concept Drawing by Bill Martin.

(WED, 1954) Bill Martin was one of the first Imagineers hired by Walt Disney to work on building Disneyland. Starting in 1953, he helped design the Park from the beginning and eventually became the art director of Fantasyland. This early atmospheric sketch features an idea for the look of a street in Frontierland and draws upon his experience as a set designer at 20th Century Fox. Accomplished in ink and marker on 9” x 8” paper, the drawing is in very good condition, with yellowing of the paper from age.
