ALPINO, CRYSTALLINE AESTHETICS OF QUARTZ FIBERS Crystals...

From our selection of collectible minerals, we present a splendid group of Quartz crystals originating from the Miage Glacier, Courmayeur, in the Aosta Valley. Moreover, it features transparent, colorless prismatic crystals alternating with splendid individuals of golden-yellow color, arranged in an aesthetic aggregate on a matrix typical of Alpine finds, which increases its aesthetic value and mineralogical importance. The specimen stands out for the quality of crystallization and for the overall aesthetic balance, with characteristics that enhance its natural structure and visual impact. Quartz is one of the most widespread minerals in the Earth's crust, composed of silicon dioxide (SiO2) crystallized in the trigonal system. The so-called "Faden quartz" (from German "thread") forms in alpine fissures when the crystal grows along a thin fracture filled by a mineral filament that remains visible as an internal line, while the crystal continues to grow on both sides. The yellowish coloration of some crystals is due to traces of iron oxides incorporated during growth. This is an ideal specimen for mineral collections, display, and for those who appreciate the natural beauty of minerals, also in the realm of crystal therapy and lithotherapy, according to properties traditionally associated with the mineral species. All minerals are 100% natural and untreated, except for rare exceptions always indicated in the description. The photographs are taken with professional lighting to best highlight colors and details; however, slight variations in tone may occur depending on the device or ambient light.
