Ancient Greek Lead Sling Bullet - 29 mm (No reserve price)

Ancient Greek Lead Sling Bullet. Ca. 4th–1st centuries BC. 28.7 mm, 30 g. Greek lead sling bullets were widely used from the Classical through Hellenistic periods as compact projectiles for slingers serving in civic armies and mercenary forces. Their almond-shaped form improved flight and impact, while inscriptions or symbols could identify units, commanders, cities, or carry taunts against the enemy.
