A beautiful and detailed example of a heavy, old-brass small bowl (e.g., for trinkets) shaped like a devil's head and playing cards; also note the three coins. These are replicas of 'sixpence' coins from the era of King George VI (issued between 1936 and 1948). The piece features various playing cards of all colors, except diamonds. Diamonds symbolize wealth and luxury; perhaps there is a lesson here? The bowl rests on three short, sturdy legs. See the photos. Dimensions (approximately): 5.7" L x 5.5" W x 1" H.
