Large angular floral forms and ivory corner spandrels create the commanding graphic character for which Heriz carpets are admired. Its generous room size, saturated naturalistic coloration and strong central design make it one of the most immediately recognizable and decorative carpets in this group. Condition Request Condition Report Lot # 504 presents well overall, with a generally even pile across the field. Both ends have been reconstructed and are not original. No major restorations are apparent, though there are a few localized areas of repiling and wool replacement, executed with reasonable skill and not overly conspicuous.
