Aquamarine & Diamond Earrings Made of an Art Déco Watch Bracelet, c. 1930/2024

From time to time, on our forays through flea markets, at auctions or in private estates, we find objects that have only survived in fragments but still seem worth preserving. This is because precision craftsmanship and good designs can often be found in the details of the individual parts of old pieces. Again and again, we find bracelets of antique Art Deco ladies' wristwatches, those watches with tiny dials that are rarely worn today. In the 1920s and 1930s, however, they were all the rage and were made of precious materials, platinum and set with diamonds. For these earrings, our goldsmiths have used just such a bracelet and combined it with precious aquamarines. The emerald-cut stones are set in delicate platinum frames and placed under the almost architecturally staggered diamond elements. A total of 56 diamonds in the old brilliant cut, princess cut and single cut, the 8/8 cut, are set in platinum here, totalling around 2.08 ct. They form the sparkling prelude to the light blue glow of the aquamarine. The earrings fall softly and beautifully thanks to several joints between the elements. Ear hooks made from high-carat gold make them easy to put on. The antique diamond elements from the Art Deco years are now beautifully accentuated again thanks to the carefully added additions. A unique pair of earrings with a very special effect.
