Camrose & Kross - Jackie's "Sunburst" crystal worn at the state dinner in 1960s

This silver plated rhodium brooch inlaid with bright Swarovski crystals is exactly a replica worn by former First Lady Jacqueline Kennedy at the state dinner on 11 april 1962 In Iran. Stunning and stylish, create your own First Lady look! Measures 6.9 cm approx and 38 gram approx. Camrose & Kross reproduction sunburst brooch. Some stones are darker. Signed JBK In good condition. Information about the original brooch. While shopping with her sister in London in June of 1961, Jackie spotted a sunburst pin in an antique shop, instantly fell in love with it and purchased it. It represented the symbol of King Louis XIV of France, the Sun King. On a side note, this was also Jackie's favorite historical era. Jackie thoroughly enjoyed her Sunburst Brooch and wore it constantly---on the shoulders of overcoats, on jackets, on dresses, and even in her hair. It fast became, along with her Waterfall Earrings, one of her signature pieces. It is easy to see why!
