Captivating Fractional Denomination from Chekiang CHINA. Chekiang. 3 Mace 6 Candareens (50 Cents), ND (1898-99). Hangchow Mint. Kuang-hsu (Guangxu). PCGS Genuine--Cleaned, Unc Details. L&M-283; K-120; KM-Y-54; WS-1020; Wenchao-589 (rarity: ★★★). An EXCEPTIONALLY RARE minor that is no doubt one of the more desirable among the entire provincial series, this essentially unhandled example does display some scattered hairlines on account of a prior cleaning. Nevertheless, it glistens with a tremendously vibrant nature, with a fairly deep aspect imparted unto the overall hue. Crisply rendered and stunning, with some slight frostiness noted upon the body of the dragon. Estimate: $10,000 - $20,000. Provenance: From the MC Collection (陳氏家族集藏).
