This pairs two of the estate’s 2017 regional Rieslings: the fruity, off-dry Dr L, an approachable introduction to the house style drawn from classic slate vineyards along the river, and the dry Red Slate (Rotschiefer), a fuller, riper wine from the warm red-slate soils of villages such as Ürzig and Erden. 2017 was a small but classically proportioned Mosel vintage of racy, precise Rieslings.
