Elegant Belle Époque brooch with 1.10 ct diamonds in platinum, circa 1900

This high-quality brooch captivates with its stylized natural form. We see a large branch with gracefully curved leaves, from which a fruit or inflorescence appears to be growing. Three sparkling old-cut diamonds are set at the ends of this wonderful creation. Smaller old-cut and rose-cut diamonds in the leaves add further sparkle to the brooch. Light platinum allows the stones to stand out beautifully, while yellow gold on the back adds a warm glow. A total of just over one carat of diamonds are set. The sweeping lines of the brooch form a calligraphic shape whose energetic dynamism appears almost animated. The enchanting brooch combines many elements that are typical of the jewelry taste of the turn of the century: We see wonderfully rhythmic lines, playful asymmetry and stylized natural forms. The piece was created around 1900 and we were able to purchase it here in Berlin. Ready to wear, the brooch is still a real feast for the eyes today.
