Beautiful and impressive original German medical school chart with the subject “Keimesentwicklung” – the development from fertilization and embryo to fetus. The chart shows among other things the human reproductive organs, fertilization, various stages of embryo development, twin pregnancies and a fetus in the uterus. Through the beautiful illustrations in warm red, pink and orange tones against a deep black background, this chart has a particularly striking presence. At the bottom it reads: Biologisch-hygienisches Unterrichtswerk der Bundeszentrale für gesundheitliche Aufklärung, Köln – Der menschliche Körper Nr. 23. On the right-hand side is also the original illustrator’s signature. The chart is made on sturdy canvas/linen and equipped with the original aluminum mounting poles at the top and bottom. This makes it ready to hang directly. Besides its original educational function, this today is primarily a very decorative vintage object. Beautiful in a vintage, industrial, eclectic or mid-century interior, but also particularly suitable for a practice room, studio, shop, loft, or collection of old anatomical and medical school charts.
