I have a number of Geological Survey Professional Papers that examine what happened as a result of the March 27, 1964 Earthquake that hit Alaska. This will be the first of them: Paper 542-A- "Effects of the Earthquake of March 27, 1964 at Anchorage, Alaska, by Wallace R. Hansen. This book offers: "A description and analysis of the damage resulting from seismic vibration, ground cracks, and especially landslides in Alaska's largest city." It was published by the United States Government Printing Office in Washington, D.C. dated 1965. Please see the photos of the Table of Contents which also lists the illustrations-- plates, figures and tables. The two maps mentioned in the list of plates are indeed contained in a pocket on the rear endpaper. It was bound for an exploration services company which subsequently diaccessioned it. Condition: This book is in near fine condition. There are really no blemishes or wear to the book. It has a bookplate label of the exploration company on the front endpaper and a card pocket at the rear. The only loan activity reflected on the card was that of the company that bound it as a hard cover.
