Fisk Tires Time to Re-tire Display

Made in U.S.A. 1950s. Painted fiber. Fisk tire boy figurines were manufactured around 1950. They were designed to decorate window displays and interior installations of establishments associated with Fisk’s commercial network. These statues, made of painted fiber, were smaller 76 cm tall (30" inches)—than the older versions whose function was to be placed outdoors. The candle carried by these smaller figures were equipped with an electrical connection to illuminate a light bulb, simulating a candle flame. The tire they held was not permanently fixed and could be replaced by the appropriate model in each case. (picture from chicopee library book) Unmarked. All items are guaranteed authentic by Miller & Miller Auctions. All purchases are eligible for free delivery to the Winter 2026 Dixie Gas Show on December 4th. From the Barry Yorgason Collection.
