She trained at the Glasgow School of Art and was then apprenticed to Sydney Cockerell in 1970 where she worked with James Brockman. She won the Thomas Harrison Memorial Award with her first binding in 1974 and continues to exhibit regularly. Her work is held by many private and public collections.
