1930 'Allegorical Maiden' $500 in Original PMG 25 HONG KONG (SAR). Hong Kong & Shanghai Banking Corporation. 500 Dollars, 1.7.1930. P-177c. KNB67b. Duress Note. PMG Very Fine 25. A nice example of the large sized allegorical maiden, 500 Dollars, dated 1930. The female figure is probably 'Harvest and Abundance', given the sheaf of wheat beside her. The 500 Dollars from HSBC is a large format note in rich purple and light orange underprint, with two hand drawn signatures at the lower left and right, the reverse showing the Hong Kong head office building. Although the note has undergone moderate circulation, it still has a very pleasing eye appeal, is relatively free from major problems, and is untampered in any way. A nice example of a very challenging type. Estimate: $5,000 - $8,000. 1930年"啡妹"伍佰圓，原裝 PMG 25 1930年香港上海匯豐銀行伍佰圓。迫簽票。 1930年大版"啡妹"伍佰圓之佳品。票中女性身旁伴有麥穗，推測為象徵"豐收與豐足"之女神。此枚滙豐銀行伍佰圓採用大尺寸設計，濃郁紫色搭配淺橙底紋，左右下方各見手簽署名，背面印有香港總行大樓。儘管經中度流通，但品相依然悅目動人，無明顯嚴重瑕疵，且全無人工修飾。實為此極具蒐集難度之罕見版別中，不可多得之佳品。
