Lamp - Brass, Metal, Chrome
Beautiful vintage Welsh miner's lamp, made mainly of brass, metal, and glass. The lamp features a traditional construction with a brass lower reservoir, chamber protected by metal uprights and a cylindrical upper section. It is decorated on the front face with a brass medallion depicting the Welsh dragon, emblem of Wales. The bottom clearly bears the inscription ‘MADE IN WALES’, accompanied by various inscriptions and usage recommendations, including regarding the use of paraffin. A fine collectible linked to British and Welsh mining history, also very decorative in an industrial, vintage, or curiosity cabinet setting. Sold in its current condition, as shown in the photographs.
