le jeune - rarissime recueil des 60 district de la garde...

Rare collection of the sixty districts of the National Guard of Paris in 1789, Part I, J. Moreau the Younger composed of 59 numbered plates, copperplate engraving entirely watercolored in its time, depicting the flag whose haft is held by a National Guard, which the artist took care to present in a different attitude. These prints would have been drawn, printed, and colored in a single night; the figures of the National Guards are very well drawn, they appear only here and were removed in the 1790 reissue.
