Le Ore Italian Boulle Style Rococo Revival Marbled Pedestal Clock with Stand

Italian Rococo Revival Boulle style pedestal clock and matching stand by Le Ore. The case is finished in a dark teal marbled lacquer with gold-toned scrollwork and figural inlays. The clock is surmounted by a gilt-metal finial depicting the goddess Minerva with a spear and shield. The dial features white enamel Roman numeral cartouches on a gilt-metal ground, marked with the name Le Ore in a white cartouche and the phrase made in italy at the base. Below the dial is a gilt-metal mount showing winged goddess of the dawn, Aurora, driving a two-horse chariot, and a glass panel revealing a pendulum decorated with a rearing horse. The matching stand features cabriole legs with gilt-metal mounts and a lower shelf with a checkerboard and scrolled inlay pattern. The internal eight-day mechanical movement is stamped with the manufacturer name Franz Hermle and MADE IN GERMANY.
