A true treasure of prehistory Discover an authentic fossil of Keichousaurus hui, a small marine reptile that lived about 230 million years ago, during the Middle Triassic, well before the rise of the dinosaurs. This specimen comes from the famous paleontological sites of Guizhou Province, China, renowned worldwide for the exceptional quality of their fossils. The skeleton is well preserved and clearly reveals numerous anatomical details, including the skull, the spine, the ribs, the limbs and the tail. Characteristics * Species: Keichousaurus hui * Age: about 230 million years ago (Middle Triassic) * Origin: Guizhou, China * Dimensions: 6.2x4.7x1.0 cm * Weight: 68 g The reverse side of the specimen has been consolidated by the addition of a shale plate of the same nature. This intervention, performed for conservation and stability, is invisible on the exposed face and does not alter the presentation or the interest of the fossil.
