Maximin Grünhaus; Abtsberg Grosses Gewächs; 2020; 3 (1 x 3); 750ml

Maximin Grünhaus, on the little Ruwer tributary, has a winegrowing history reaching back to Roman times and was monastery land for a thousand years. The von Schubert family's Abtsberg, the abbot's slope, is a monopole and the jewel of its three vineyards. This is its Grosses Gewächs, the estate's top dry Riesling from that grand cru. 2020 was an excellent Mosel vintage. Paula Redes Sidore gave it 18 out of 20 on JancisRobinson.com.
