NAVY. MORBIHAN. Storm at Sea in MORBIHAN. Report drawn up aboard the frigate of the Republic “LA CHARENTE,” commanded by Citizen PASSART, lieutenant, on the 17th of Pluviôse, Year 3 (February 5, 1795). As a result of a storm at sea, the sails and the frigate’s rigging were torn, and various damages forced him to take refuge at Quiberon to make the best possible repairs, so as to be able to proceed to Brest at the first favorable opportunity. The next day, after setting sail, we encountered more bad weather, so we decided to call at Port Liberté (the revolutionary name for Port-Louis 56).
