Necklace in platinum with aquamarine & diamonds in historical form, circa 1985

There have been compelling, beautiful and enchanting jewelry designs in every era. However, when it comes to refinement and elegant delicacy in design and implementation, no era has produced such magnificent jewelry creations as the Belle Époque, those final, brief years before the outbreak of the First World War. At the height of this "beautiful era", pieces of jewellery were created that are still unparalleled today. It is therefore no wonder that these designs have repeatedly served as a model for pieces of jewellery from subsequent eras. This necklace tells the story of an era in which lightness, romantic feelings and self-confidence went hand in hand. The firmly mounted heart pendant is artfully open-worked - light but with an impressive presence. An aquamarine of around five carats sparkles in the center, clear and light blue like the sea in sunlight. It rests in a filigree meshwork of platinum, surrounded by 37 precisely set diamonds with a total weight of around 1.20 carats. The piece of jewellery breathes the spirit of the Belle Époque, but it was created much later, in the 1980s. Its previous owner had it made in Hamburg based on historical models. It is accompanied by a detailed expertise.
