Nori Peter — La Chasse Galerie

Canadian. An oil on panel of "La Chasse Galerie" in vivid colours by Nori Peter (1935-2013). Peter was a Hungarian artist who emigrated to Canada in 1956 and became known for works that bridged fine art and cultural narrative. Marked, "Original by Nori Peter", on the liner and acquired directly from Nori by the consignor's family in 1965. While different from her usual work, it is possible this was a sample done for a larger commission. Unmarked.
