Curated collection of antique, vintage and modern rugs Pair of Vintage Josef Frank “Aralia” Curtains Size: 7 ft 8 in x 3 ft 10 in (2.34 m x 1.17 m) Provenance: Property of a Stockholm dealer An exciting pair of vintage curtains displaying Josef Frank’s celebrated exuberant approach to botanical design. Large stylized flowers and trailing foliage appear in brilliant orange, green, yellow, turquoise and deep plum against a light ground. Frank’s textiles are admired for combining modernist freedom with the richness of historic decorative arts, and surviving pairs of vintage curtains are particularly desirable because they can be displayed together, reused as curtains or preserved as collectible textile panels.
