Rare late 19th/early 20th century electromechanical recording chronograph by Peyer Favarger & Co. of Neuchâtel, Switzerland, 5.25” white enamel centre seconds dial with Roman numerals and blued steel hands, the movement features a Hipp toggle pendulum escapement, housed in a mahogany case with a glazed front door, 25.5" high, 11" wide, base depth 8.25" (with the original signed pendulum) ** The chronograph is operated via a series of electrical contacts that energise electromagnetic coils, causing a stylus to punch a sequence of dots onto a continuously advancing paper strip.
