Sheaffer - Crest (Plumín Triumph) - Capuchón Oro Laminado...

A0000003894 VINTAGE SHEAFFER CREST FOUNTAIN PEN (USA, CIRCA 1940s/50s): We present at auction a heavyweight in the history of writing: the legendary Sheaffer Crest equipped with the revolutionary Triumph nib. This model represents the ultimate expression of luxury and technological advancement from the American firm in the mid-20th century. The specimen we offer stands out for its elegant contrast. It features a robust black resin body that gives prominence to a dazzling gold-filled cap, finely decorated with a vertical striped pattern. Crowned by the iconic "White Dot" on the clip, this symbol certified the highest-end writing instruments and carried a lifetime warranty of the manufacture. The real feat of engineering lies in its nib. It mounts the famous conical "Triumph" nib by Sheaffer, crafted in 14-karat solid gold in a beautiful bi-color variant. This tubular design was created to withstand pressure, prevent ink leakage in flights, and provide exceptionally smooth writing. At the rear of the body, the unscrewed cap aft hides the brand’s pneumatic filling mechanism. Condition (Expert Review) This is a vintage instrument that has been treated with care, preserving an excellent overall aesthetic: Resin and Metals: The black body maintains good surface shine without breaks or cracks. The gold cap preserves excellent luster, showing only micro-scratches and very slight marks expected on a piece of more than 70 years of history. Nib and Mechanism: The striking 14k bi-color conical nib is in superb cosmetic condition, with the iridium tip intact. (Expert note: As this is a vintage item with old pneumatic loading systems using rubber sacs and original O-rings, it is highly probable that the future buyer will need to perform restoration/replacement of seals to guarantee full suction functionality and daily use. It is aesthetically clean and comes without an original case). Shipping The item will be carefully protected and securely packed, with insured shipping and an international tracking number. A great opportunity to add to your collection a pen fundamental to the evolution of writing, endowed with one of the most beautiful and robust gold nibs ever manufactured! Good luck to all bidders and may we have an excellent auction!
