Spectacular White Gold Ring with Untreated Pink Sapphire & 5.76 ct

A natural pink sapphire of 1.90 ct is at the center of this spectacular ring. The gemstone has a bright, intense color that oscillates between cool bubblegum pink and fiery pink due to the faceting. It is completely natural, as the sapphire is untreated, a true rarity. The sapphire is surrounded by around 5.76 ct of diamonds. The sparkling stones are arranged on white gold bands in different directions, heights and angles around the sapphire - the light almost glides over them and ignites a white, fiery sparkle like a real firework display. There are always several diamonds at the perfect angle to the light source - and as soon as it has glided over one diamond, the next one is already glowing. This creates a never-ending play of lights on the finger that draws the eye back to the center stone again and again. The ring was created around 1960 and is a one-of-a-kind handmade piece. It perfectly embodies the glamorous, fun-loving aesthetic of the time. The diamond-studded white gold bands in particular, with their sculptural design and staggered arrangement, are typical of the period. As the ring face with its sculptural design is quite large and unusually heavy, an additional clasp in the ring band ensures that it cannot tip over when worn. We discovered the ring in Hamburg. It is in very good condition and comes with an independent certificate attesting to the quality of the materials used.
