Birmingham, 1853, each a lobed form with hand chased floral and rocaille cartouches over stepped feet, topped with naturalistic floral finials, includes a coffee pot (9 3/4 x 10 x 6 1/2 in.); teapot (8 x 10 x 6 1/2 in.); creamer; and lidded sugar bowl, not monogrammed. Private Collection of a Gentleman, Cary, North Carolina Josiah Mason joined George Richards Elkington and his cousin, Henry Elkington, at Elkington & Co. in 1842. The firm subsequently operated as Elkington, Mason & Co. until 1861, when the partnership was dissolved. Elkington & Co. continued to operate independently until 1963. Good estate condition, a few barely visible dings.
