Vintage Cufflinks with Opals in High-Carat Gold, Pforzheim c. 1965

These cufflinks made of high-carat gold show the design language of the Midcentury. Their fronts are oval in shape. They are curved in a concave shape and the surfaces have a radial ripple pattern that emanates from a central opal. The high-quality gemstones show an impressive play of colours that is particularly beautifully accentuated by this unusual framing. They perfectly reflect the taste of the time, as structure was a major theme of jewellery in the 1960s and early 1970s. According to the hallmark, our buttons are the work of the goldsmith Georg Lauer, who was founded in Pforzheim in 1895. They are in excellent condition and are a luxurious and stylish vintage eye-catcher on your shirt!
