Vintage Ring with 1.30 ct Brilliant Solitaire & Emeralds, Stuttgart c. 1955

This ring is a luxurious piece of jewellery from the time of the German economic miracle. The great need to catch up on joie de vivre and luxury after the deprivations of war also fueled the jewellery sector. Our ring sets standards here in terms of its features and high-quality workmanship. A wonderful brilliant-cut diamond weighing an impressive 1.30 carats glitters in the center of the ring, which is still very much in the style of late Art Deco. The gemstone has an excellent color (rare white + F) and shows only a few small inclusions (si). The center stone is flanked on both sides of the dome-shaped ring face by a rectangular faceted emerald. Bands of octagonal diamonds close the top and bottom of the ring face. While the ring band is made of white gold, the stone settings are made of high-carat palladium, a precious metal that was increasingly used in jewelry production from the mid-1930s onwards. According to the hallmark, this exquisite ring is the work of the jeweler Schilling from Stuttgart. The well-preserved ring came to us from Vienna. It comes with an external certificate confirming the quality of the materials used.
