Wedgwood Tri-Color Jasperware Etruscan Creamer

This Wedgwood Jasperware pitcher is crafted from matte-finished stoneware featuring a tri-color decorative scheme. The body is a light blue ground ornamented with applied sprigged relief in white and lilac. The vessel follows an Etruscan jug form with an ovoid body, a pinched pouring spout, and a single loop handle. The central decorative band contains a lilac-colored oval medallion depicting a neoclassical scene with two figures, flanked by large white scrolling acanthus leaves. A lilac laurel leaf band encircles the upper portion of the body near the rim. The lower section is decorated with a band of white stylized trees and foliage, bordered above by a lilac beaded or cog-style band. The handle features white relief scrollwork. The underside of the base is impressed with the marks WEDGWOOD, MADE IN ENGLAND, a registered trademark symbol, the letters KP, and the number 10.
