William Moorcroft Macintyre Alhambra Porcelain Vase

Art Nouveau ceramic cabinet vase designed by William Moorcroft for James Macintyre and Company. The earthenware body is decorated in the Alhambra pattern, featuring tube-lined stylized floral motifs in salmon pink and brick red surrounded by cobalt blue and gold whiplash foliate scrolls on a buff ground. The neck and interior are finished in a deep cobalt blue glaze, and the top and bottom rims are heavily gilded. The underside bears the James Macintyre backstamp.
